We at Body Works NW are dedicated to bodywork and the pursuit of therapeutic, clinical, medical massage modalities for pain relief, restoration of lost function, and health. There is a need in Lewiston for healing and a need for a better alternative to the typical western medicine outlook of health, pain, and dysfunction. Western medicine seeks to abate the symptoms of your pain; to give you pills, to do a surgery for this or that, to put a “band aid” on or cover up your symptoms, but not actually HEAL you, because then you wouldn’t need to keep throwing money at them! We are here to help you heal.
Treatment sessions employ clinical and medical massage modalities like Myofascial Release and Deep Tissue Release and may be weekly to help you heal, but this usually lasts for 4-8 weeks and maintenance can usually happen with just monthly or every other month visits. When you truly get better, feel better and improve and regain your life, we hope you will tell your friends and family about us. We are not here to keep you in the “system” of healthcare, we want you to be out enjoying life, pain-free! To regain lost facets of your life is WHY we are here and WHY we do what we do.
Body Works mission is to search for and address, through unique treatment methods, the root cause of each client's muscular pain, in order to give the body the opportunity to heal itself. Each session will be personalized to the individual client's needs. We believe health is a multi-dimensional system. We seek to educate the client about their body and health and suggest methods of self-care to improve well-being. We will always strive to provide the client with better service than they expect from a healthcare provider.
Consultations are an interactive process designed to individualize a treatment plan for each specific client. Treatment plans are designed based on client perceptions of their pain or physical limitations over the past few months prior to the first visit, and work toward several short-term goals and a long-term goal that the client and therapist can agree on.
